Study Published by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences

Scientists from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), the University of Washington, Harvard University and Rho Inc. have recently completed a study published in the NIEHS journal, Environmental Health Perspectives that states that when utilized on carpets, upholstery, pillows, box springs, draperies and mattresses, hot, dry steam cleaning can kill dust mites and at the very least, significantly reduce the threat posed by dust-mite allergens that can potentially develop into asthma or hay fever or even trigger allergic reactions.
